Completed in 2025, Art Alley-Gator embodies the vibrant spirit and cultural ecosystem of Art Alley in Monroe, Louisiana. As a gathering place for creatives, artists, and cultural makers, Art Alley plays a vital role in the artistic landscape of Northeast Louisiana.

The mural, now the largest street mural in Louisiana, features an iconic alligator surrounded by native wildlife, musical elements, and scenes from Downtown Monroe, reflecting the region’s deep roots in both art and nature.

Funded by a grant from the Department of Transportation’s Thriving Communities Program, the project highlights the power of public art to create safer, more walkable spaces while strengthening community identity.

Art Alley-Gator is 232 ft long x 26 ft wide, 6,032 square ft.
